Rules, fees & deadlines
Everything you need to prepare for the 50th annual Lockport Outdoor Arts & Crafts Festival.
Eligibility
Original work, made by you
The festival is open to artists and craftspeople who design and produce their own work. Both artist and non-artist vendor applications are accepted. Artists and craftspeople must be present during both festival days.
Buy-sell merchandise, mass-produced goods, and work represented as handmade by the applicant when it is not are prohibited.
Application
What to submit
- Four clear, high-resolution images showing the work you intend to sell
- One image of your complete booth display
- A description of your process, materials, and products
- A non-refundable $20 jury/application fee
Applications are reviewed by four jurors on a 1-5 scale. The jury process is closed. The highest-scoring eligible applications are selected based on available space and category balance.
Booth fees
Choose the space that fits
Food vendor spaces cover both days and are for vendors preparing food on site. Food vendors must obtain the required Niagara County Health Department permit by calling (716) 439-7596.
Accepted vendors must pay their booth fee by May 31 to secure their space.
Setup & operations
Festival weekend
- Main Street closes to through traffic at 7 a.m. each day for setup and reopens at 6:30 p.m.
- Vehicles, including food trucks, are not permitted in the show area while the festival is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Vendors must remain open until 5 p.m. Early shutdowns require an emergency and notice to the festival office.
- Do not drive stakes into the blacktop. Bring substantial weights for every tent; Main Street can become very windy.
- Electricity is not available. Enclosed generators are permitted behind booths but may not exceed 60 dB at the booth front.
- Display and inventory must remain within the assigned space.
- Bag all trash and leave it at the curb behind your booth. Public street barrels are not for vendor trash.
- No overnight security is provided. Vendors are responsible for their tents, inventory, and valuables.
- Grey water may not be dumped in streets or parking lots.
Product standards
Accepted work
Woodworking & carving Original work that is built, turned, carved, or tooled. Embellished manufactured wood is not permitted.
Soap & candles Must be homemade by the applicant.
Jewelry Handmade, organically based, rustic, repurposed, or boho work. Only accepted jewelry vendors may sell jewelry.
Glass Functional kiln-formed, blown, molded, or cast glass. Glass jewelry belongs in the jewelry category.
Fiber, fabric & leather Hand-tooled, woven, sewn, knitted, crocheted, or sculpted work.
Mixed media Original handmade work combining more than one medium.
Food products Products made, prepared, and packaged by the applicant. No store-bought resale.
Repurposed Upcycled craft made from recycled or repurposed materials, excluding jewelry.
Not permitted
Prohibited items
- Commercial clothing, T-shirts, posters, or manufactured toys for resale
- Jewelry made from more than 50% manufactured components
- Items made with commercially available molds or patterns
- Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, or items intended for its use
Cancellations & awards
Refund policy
The application fee is non-refundable. Booth fees are refundable, less a $30 cancellation fee, when the festival is notified by June 10, 2026.
Awards
Best in Show receives a ribbon, $50, and the following year's jury fee waived. Best in Category recipients receive a ribbon and $20.
